The life of parents who face special needs

I recently experienced some adversity in a big way.  This comes from having lots of trauma in your life. Im not the only one I share a home with others who have experience adversity and trauma as well.

So how do you deal with it? Having some conflict in relationships or having conflict in your marriage? its almost impossible not to when you deal with traum whetehr its a close family member or may even a distant family member. It might just be a friendship. Anyways this is something I recently experienced and Ive just now been able to put it together so that I can write about it.

It is really difficult sometimes to maintain a straight thought when going through trails, adversity or trauma. I want to share with you my journey with God on how this was resolved. I pray that you are blessed by this. Please take this in if you feel overwhelmed. I had so many people telling me that I needed rest. I didnt get it until it was too late. Im not going into details but the Father saved me. To God be the glory. I am thankful and I am blessed. So while we are quiet in the medical world of craziness Im here to say we as parents must simplfy our lives. We have this craziness of our kids going on. Its okay. Sometimes we as parents need time out and we need renewed. This is how I did it.

I wanted to say thank you to all of you who prayed, wished me well, and for those who thanked me for sharing God on Fathers Day. He is our Father and a very special Father. I have seen that video several times and I have been blessed many times by watching it so Im glad that you were blessed that accomplished what I set out to do.

So Here is the link for my other blog. It is our family blog. I wanted to share it on there so that different people coiuld see it.

Once we have God in control again then everything else can fall into place. It may take some time but you will be a lot happier if you start with yourself.

be blessed

with love,

Paris ( Abigaile and Nataschas momma )

Happy Fathers Day

Im reminded of Fathers Day.  This year just as hurtful as the year my dad passed away.  This world is just not my home.  I miss my daddy so much the pain hasn't completely gone away I don't think it ever will.  My dad was such a good man. He was honest, full of love, had patience beyond understanding, had Joy talking to people, was kind and gentle to everyone he met. Im not sure he ever met a stranger. I seldom saw him lose self -control. Most of all my daddy loved our family.

I would like to wish my husband Allen and dad of our two girls Happy Fathers day also.

I did want to wish all the Fathers out there Happy Fathers Day.

I do want to share this Fathers Day card with everyone though. Its really special because this Father is in Heaven and hopefully very soon we will see Him.

Thank you for Gifts for Abigaile

Thank you for the gifts and loving not just our Abigaile, but Natascha and our family !

I would load some pictures but currently am having issues with sizing the photos and loading. My husband is the techie and good in this area. I am much more challenged with it. Im sure he feels Im a nag when I come to him with all this.

I can talk and do other things but I just want it to work ( the techie stuff) I dont care how it gets there. LOL My husband is detailed, loves to work with his hands, and has patience. Im believing that prayer of when God tells you to seek God first and all other things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 33 But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

The Coles Foundation Tshirt I know she will love advertsing her favorite foundation. Coles family has shown us the trus love of God we are so thankful . When our family had so many trials Coles has been there for us. Thank you.

The next gift is the hair things. Abigaile is so fascinated with hair things. As you can tell in most of her photos she has hair things all the time. She has figured out how to remove them though and hands them to momma or her big sister. Its a new skill and great OT.  So we let her do it. Occasionally.

Kids Unite to Fight bracelets. Very cool. One of Abigailes new favorite things has been bracelets. Great for Big sister ( Natascha ) too and I know she will be proud to wear. Her big sister( Natascha) is her biggest advocate. She is old enough now ( a big 13) so she doesnt put things in her mouth anymore to taste them.

A keychain for her sister ( Natascha)  ( she will love) I know she is looking forward to getting those car keys very soon. Momma and her dad will be praying ALOT.

Comfort and Joy CD.  Abigaile loves music it is really one of her favorite things. She loves music and musicals. It defintiely makes her happy. I know she will get some Joy from this.

A book about insects - this will be good for momma and sister to point out insect to her with her home school. Its always good to learn the "good bugs" from the "bad bugs".

Another book that says Take Heart my Child A Mothers Dream. I know Abigaile will love her mommy, daddy and big sister reading this to her - over and over and over again. Thank God there are three of us so we each don't get burned out. ** HInt Dr Seuss I will never forget the feet.

And the doll clothes.  The shirt says Happy. I will say that Abigaile is always happy.

She has always been happy around her dad, her sister and her momma.

She can be having the worst day ever. Seizures. No sleep. The things that would make most of us really be grumpy and sad about. Not Abigaile. She is always happy.

Thank You Coles Foundation for the card - your cards, letters, emails and now gifts. Always make us smile.

with love,

Fear - Its what keeps us from Healing

God gives power to the weak. And to those who have no might, He increases strength. Isaiah 40:29

Video: Sinach Stand Amazed.

I was at this place of being weak.

I needed to know at what place I am - where am I suppose to go?

I felt Abigaile was at a wall with her healing, her progress. Stagnant. Feeling hopeless and helpless.

God earlier in this battle impressed upon me that my child is healed. I know prayer works. I know that eating the diet God created works. When we get to a place of being stagnant it is time to move forward.

What keeps us from doing this?

Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen Thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

To overcome this FEAR we must remain in the will of GOd and we must TRUST GOD in order to retain FAITH.

So it is Hope and Faith that we must remain in.

Pray daily and find your promises in the word of God and claim it.

This is Gods favor .......

I wanted to establish a new Dr. here for Abigaile. We were able to get into this clinic in a week. WOW ! we went to the visit there was no one else in clinic. We went through the assessment and at the end of the assessment we were referred to another Dr. in a nearby town.

The original Dr. we saw called personally to get us in to the other clinic.

He wanted to only speak with the office MGR or a couple of ladies at the clinic.

This new clinic did not have an opening we found out later until November or December of 2017.

The office MRg says- we had a cancellation (today at last minute ) if they can be here by 3pm we can get them in. We were about 45 minutes from clinic.

We ended the current assessment - I checked out while dad loaded the kids and we went on our way.

We went to other clinic filled out intake forms and Voila we were sitting in the office with the new Dr. ((( AMAZING how GOD works.)) favor AGAIN !

God you are too much !!

It was a very stimulating and encouraging visit. I felt HOPE>>>>>>>>

I was invited to attend a confernece the following weekend. I was grateful. I went and it was fantastic. I met some wonderful Practitioners , Doctors and leaned of so many modalities. It felt so good to be able to talk with others about Abigaile and our family and how we are healing ( all of us). It also felt good to see some other things out there that can help Abigaile in her progress.

God is amazing! I will be implementing many of these things ( in moderation of course into our care plan). So after some much needed REST FOR ALL OF US !

God is good and I ask God to bless these amazing people.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalms 34:4

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day. Psalms 91:5

The Name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and it is safe. Proverbs 18:10

….lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:20

I leave with you thoughts and prayers and ask the God of creation to bless your day...
Lord God in Heaven and maker of the Universe thank you for You. You are Creator of all and the Creator of all Wisdom. May we always seek you, May we always strive to follow Your will. May we always praise You and Worship to be in Your presence. May we seek to find favor in Your will for our lives.
My prayer is the same for each of you
in faith,

Prayer request for rest for us all - Rest as a Weapon

Please would you all take a minute to pray for our family.  We just have a bunch of junk and clutter and we all need rest.

Its been a really long and tiring past severeal years. I dont want to put a number on it but I really dont know where it started.

I dont like the "unspoken prayer term" because I believe God knows what we need even long before what we do.

I believe we have all been living in a post trauma stress that has just really taken a toll on our family. We have been searching for rest. But it hasnt been the "right kind of rest". You see we have been looking at the world, other people, things to help us all find rest.  When really our "rest" needs to be in God.

We need to start looking at rest as a weapon.

I was reading the other night and I have heard an echo of myself, my husband Allen and our daughter saying we just need to rest. We need rest. We want rest. Its odd becasue there are so many things I think we each individually define as rest. But we are defining rest as things that have no value. They really have nothing tangible. They seem like they do but they dont. Mine used to be looking at magazines, drinking tea or coffee etc. But what Ive realized over the past couple of weeks is that they mean more when we have someone close to us to do those things with. It also means more when we edify God in those things.

We as individuals also need to rest first before we can help others with their rest.

First and formost God should be at the top of our rest. I know through all the traumas of what this world has given to me personally I can not find rest anymore in anything else but God. I cant find it in self -help ( watch these things these will destroy you) while they may have good intent they only reinforce and cause you to try and prove what you are thinking. Dangerous, very dangerous.

God has the right weapons He designed US. He knows what He put into us and that is LOVE.

When we are in Trauma - we want to be protected - especially by someone who is strong , quick and capable of taking out the enemy.

Have you ever considered using rest as a weapon ? It can be a very strong tool.

Rest is not something we can hold it doesnt look or feel strong and really it may appear that it would make us more vulernable. So how could we protect ourselves if we are at ease? Even though it seems contradicting Rest is actually our best weapon.

Here are some healing qualities of rest: It clears our minds, it protects us from sickness, it helps us to think more clearly, to love more deeply and most to energize us. It protects us spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. These are all things affecting us during trauma.

This weapon may not appear or look flashy but it is the best strategy and when used with prayer you can have a Win/Win agaisnt your enemy.

My husband always tells a cute story that really isnt cute but it is soooo ssoooo pertinent in all of this.

He says, If your in a airplane and the pilot comes over the mic and says we need to prepare for crash procedures please put your trays in the upright position. Place your oxygen masks over your faces.  What do you think at that time if you have kids with you? You want to put the oxygen on your kids first then yourself.

But like my husband says. You cant do that. You have to put the oxygen on your first and then when you stableize to come up with your plan so you, the one who is mature and has handled danger or crisis - is stable - then you can put it on your children next.

So moms and dads and caregivers if we aren't putting on the oxygen first how can we ever expect to make good decisions for our kids?

My husband has so much wisdom. Im so thankful for what he has taught me and our children. God really gave me a good gift with this man . I truly am thankful for him.

2 Corinthians 10:4Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

because the weapons we use to wage war are not worldly. On the contrary, they have God’s power for demolishing strongholds. We demolish arguments.

Lord when I am feeling weary and unprotected please remind me to use the weapon of rest and remind me to use it with Your Word to make me feel more protected.

in faith,
